EL FIN!!

Week 10!!! I have learned a lot,although I didn't hand in a perfect project I am sure I will include many tools into my teaching. One of the first things I learned was how to plan my goals, using the ABCD method which it was completely new to me. I will definetily incorporate it in my planning sheets. I really like the way the way the couse was organized, the perfect way in which wikis, blogs and NICENET were put together and worked. It has given me the opportunity to explore new ways of using the resources I already knew. I will ask my students to use blogs in class, and to add a reflection at the end of each topic, it is something that I had not considered before. Thank you very much for visinting my blog. WEEK 9

I have to admit that it wasn't easy, although I really enjoyed every week during this course. This week we explored about how to cater different learning styles, I will definitely use the surveys with my class to find out more about their learning styles and therefore to adapt my lessons. One of my favorite readings was the Teacher Tap, in which multiple intelligences are explain and you can find the best tech tools for each of them.

Week 8

During this week I had the opportunity to create a class site and share it with the rest of the teachers in this course. I decided to use Edmodo, because I am familiar with it, however there were a lot more option to choose from Nicenet, blogs, wikis; which I have already worked with. The task in Nicenet about creating something new to share was awesome, I had the chance to explore the different resources created by my classmates. Learned lot from them and their comments. The readings in this week are great! speacially ANVILL!

WEEK 7

Here is my week 7 reflection. I liked this week because it helped me solve one of the problems I have in class, using one computer. The reading provided me with useful tips on how to use it in class. New ideas for projects. I was also able to read others comments what they shared when they designed one sample lessson for one computer. The ideas of this site http://www.lburkhart.com/elem/strat.htm are awesome. I designed my lesson and received feedback from Poncho, this is my favorite part when someone else takes time to read my work. I have my partner for the project draft. Learned about learner autonomy and realized how importat is to foster in class. and give students strategies to develop and help them to become autonomous. See you soon

Week 6

Here is my post, a little bit late but anyway here it is. Throught this week I was able to read articles related to create student center class and how to improve my practice through the use of power point presentations. Designing ppt has always been a challenge for me, because I am used to design simple presentations (teacher center), I was not aware of the many uses of this tool to engage students in learning a lenguage. I was able to design a game in power point which I believe my students will realy enjoy.

WEEK 5

My reflection for this week is the following: I learnt how to use rubrics which I always consider to be something very difficult to use and create. After reading the articles in the reading section I was able to understand better how to use them. Another thing useful was the PBL approach and use of Webquests to teaching. I shared with you my wiki and projects I have worked with my children at the kindergarten. Looking forward to start week 6.
